Regulations for e-bikes:
Volt Canada e-Bikes are Certified and meet all the Canadian Regulations requirements of Pedal Assisted Motorized Electric Bicycles.

Electric bikes (both those resembling conventional bicycles and those resembling motor scooters) are permanently allowed on roads and highways where conventional bicycles are currently permitted.

EBIKES: The Regulations for the use of these bikes is specified in Bill 126. (More information here) Bill 126

Volt Canada’s e-Bikes are limited to Canadian Law of a maximum speed of 32km/hr powered by our 500Watt direct drive DC Hub electric motor. Equipped with functional Headlights, tail-lights, brake-lights, front and rear turn signals, horn, front and rear brakes and functional pedals, our ebikes are safe and meet the Canadian Laws for on-road transportation daily use.

Registration Not Required: Providing that you are 16 years of age or older. No Liscence, No Registration, No Insurance is required to operate an ebike. More detailed information under Bill 126 Please check your local rules and regulations before operating any ebike.
